The Yoga form that we will be using in this class is based on the Eastern traditional Hatha Yoga. It has been adapted to Western
styles, and will include several complementary disciplines from time to time: These include Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Pilates. We
will also practice some meditation techniques.

This class is designed to meet the needs of the individuals who are attending. It is composed of a series of Asanas (postures)
and techniques to enhance and integrate mind, body and spirit. It is designed for the Yoga initiate, those who have had some
Yoga; and those who are moving into more advanced years and no longer have the flexibility to perform the more rigorous Yoga
techniques. Our purpose is to allow each individual to experience maximum strengthening, mobility, flexibility and relaxation
to that person's best and highest ability, without pain or stress.

In this class you will be guided to a deeper understanding of your self , your own capabilities, and your relationship to
others. You are encouraged to share any problems or concerns which might interfere with your full participation. Your only
competitor is your Self!
... Please bring a mat, a light blanket or large towel, and a small cushion
(optional). Yoga sticky mats are recommended, and I will refer you to places where these can be purchased. As you will be
working on a hard floor you may want to reinforce with a cushioned mat. Be sure and wear
clothing which is comfortable and flexible. The first class is free and if you like the class you may join at $5.00 per class.
I
look forward to our Yoga journey and experience together. I hope that Yoga will
become a way of life for you.
